If the device won't detect any headset being plug-in to it, you may first check the headset pin connector for possible damaged. Then check and replace those highlighted components on the following solution below.
Try to replace the 100K resistor and 1u0 capacitor, this components holds the headset detection mechanism. You may also use this solution if the device always showed the headset icon even the headset is not plug-in.
